The Legacy

Founded in 1839 by Antoine Norbert de Patek and Adrien Philippe, Patek Philippe is the oldest continuously operating watchmaker in the world. For nearly two centuries, the maison has held an unassailable position at the summit of haute horlogerie — a status earned through an unwavering commitment to perfection that borders on obsession.
Since 1932, the Stern family has guided the manufacture with a philosophy encapsulated in their famous motto: “You never actually own a Patek Philippe. You merely look after it for the next generation.” Under their stewardship, Patek Philippe has registered over 100 patents and created some of the most complicated mechanical watches in history.
Every Patek Philippe watch bears the Patek Philippe Seal — the most demanding quality standard in watchmaking, governing not just the movement but the entire finished watch. It guarantees accuracy within -3/+2 seconds per day, far exceeding the requirements of the Swiss COSC certification.

Nautilus
Designed by Gérald Genta and launched in 1976, the Nautilus brought the luxury sports watch concept to Patek Philippe. Its porthole-inspired case with rounded octagonal bezel and horizontally embossed dial created a design language so distinctive that the Nautilus has become one of the most sought-after watches in history, with waiting lists spanning years.

Aquanaut
Launched in 1997, the Aquanaut was Patek Philippe's answer to a younger, more adventurous collector. With its rounded octagonal case echoing the Nautilus and a distinctive tropical composite strap, the Aquanaut offers a more contemporary, travel-ready expression of Patek's sporty elegance.

Since 1932, the Calatrava has defined what a dress watch should be. Named after the cross that serves as Patek Philippe's emblem, the Calatrava embodies the Bauhaus principle that form follows function. Its clean, uncluttered dials and slim cases represent the purest expression of horological elegance.

Grand Complications
Patek Philippe is the undisputed master of complicated watchmaking. The Grand Complications collection encompasses minute repeaters that chime the hours with crystalline tones, perpetual calendars that account for leap years until 2100, and tourbillons that defy gravity. The legendary Henry Graves Supercomplication — with 24 complications — held the record as the most complicated watch in the world for 56 years.
